Free play is also influenced by the inner reality of each participating child, so it can often serve as an outlet for the cultural and societal influences. It also requires inner motivation, will to participate and take action, all of the qualities recognised as preconditions for responsible and constructive use of digital media tools.

Learning letters by storytelling
7 - 10
The story that teachers come up with when teaching letters refers to the quality of the letter in the essence and how the letter is revealed from the story. It goes from the concrete story to the abstract letter concept - from the story, through the picture to the letter. Storytelling used in this way provides a powerful bridge between the reality and the abstract nature of a letter. The skill to make bridges between abstract thoughts and reality is one of the key prerequisites for grasping the complex and to a point abstract concepts surrounding digital technology.
